Dear Mr. Dean:

Here at Unstated, we strive to make your VW classic air cooled rebuild as painless as we possibly can and understand the frustration of anxiously awaiting a part, just to realize that the part does not fit or has a defect that keeps it from being installed. We guarantee every part that we sell, and are relentless in our pursuit of supplying you the best aftermarket parts available anywhere.

When I received you complaint, I sought out my engineer and asked him if there was a problem that we needed to know about these plugs because we had received a letter stating that there was a problem with a set that we had recently sold. I showed him the pictures that you had sent, and had him pull a set out of stock so we could better understand the problem that you were having, and discovered by looking at the pictures that you purchased National Fine Thread (NFT) taps instead of the National Pipe Thread (NPT) taps that the plugs call for.

It is easy to see how buying the wrong thread size tap can happen since the thread type is stamped in such small letters on the tap and since the letters NFT and NPT are so close in appearance, it is possible that the way you were holding the tap to the light caused you to believe the” F” was actually a” P” at first glance. Due to the wrong sized taps being used, we regretfully cannot refund your purchase or shipping costs.

Since the pressure in the oil galley can reach 300psi, especially at start-up when the engine is cold, I do not recommend that you use the NFT plugs that you installed, the threads just are not coarse enough to provide the holding power that is necessary to hold the plug into the case, and the loss of a plug will almost instantly drain the oil from your case, which will cause your engine to be destroyed. Since the NPT is…...

Adjustment Bureau

...Culture Alert “The Adjustment Bureau” leaves its audience entertained, however it also gives them something of great significance to discuss and think about. The movie broadly addresses concepts of predestination, free-will, and to what some would view as God. Although “The Adjustment Bureau” does not reflect a biblically view of God and his nature, however the movie does a nice job of demonstrating the importance of these issues. Throughout this paper I will explore the worldviews in correlation with Ravi Zacharias’ components presented in this film, and discuss my views and opinions on the issues portrayed. Having a consistent worldview can often be challenging with the different influences in life, therefore seeing a consistent worldview in a movie can be difficult. “The Adjustment Bureau” relates to “free-will” concept that philosophers have debated for years. David, the main character, is a politician running for Senate. His campaign is going really well until a photo from college is leaked to the media of him. David also meets a woman, Elise, and immediately falls in love. Elise inspires him in many ways and he even gives a very impressing speech. David soon realizes that his choices are not his own and the direction of his life is not under his control after he tries to start a relationship with Elise. His life direction is decided by a higher power. David actually accidently sees a mysterious group of men, “the adjustment bureau”, performing mind manipulation......

Adjustment

...Adjustment to Health Change or Crisis This essay will discuss a patient that I worked with during year two of my course, who has experienced a health change. I will also explore the psychological, social and physical changes to the patient and how adjustment was used on her lifestyle. Corsini (2002,p 20) defines Adjustment as “ Modifications of attitudes and behaviour to meet the demands of life effectively, such as carrying on constructive interprofessional relations, dealing with stressful problematic situations”. In accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Councils Code of Conduct (NMC, 2009) to protect my patient’s confidentiality, I will refer to the patient as Margret and her husband as Charles. Margret is a 62-year-old lady who is a recently retired shop owner. She has been married for 40 years to Charles. Margret lives with her husband in a 2- bed bungalow. Margret and Charles have three sons. The sons live abroad but Margret has regular contact with them via the Internet and telephone. Margret has no other close family around her. Margret is an active lady and enjoys walking, swimming and other light exercise. Margret had attended a Doctor’s appointment at her local General Practice (G.P.) as she had not attended a check up for well over 30 years. Margret has no other medical problems and has reported to feel fit and well, with no concerns. The Doctor decided to perform a full health check and take a urine sample. The urine sample had detected glucose.......

Proposal of Fiscal Adjustment

...the west have to use fiscal adjustments in order to get their public finances straight. In this paper we want to establish which lessons can be learned from the past when it comes to conducting successful fiscal adjustments. While not looking at the factors which contribute to the appearance of a fiscal adjustment, we will focus on the factors which influence the success of the adjustment. Examples of these factors are revenue increases, cuts in government spending, the debt-to-GDP ratio and some political variables. In general, each factor accounts for one hypothesis. The paper which comes closest to ours is the one of Alesina et al. (1998). It deals with the success of fiscal adjustments. The authors found that expenditure cuts are more effective than an increase in government revenues. Papers as for example the one of McDermott and Wescott (1996) also focus on this aspect and investigate the question whether fiscal adjustments result in periods of small or even negative economic growth. However, the prevailing research has only been focusing on one type of fiscal adjustments. We think that the distinction between rapid and gradual fiscal adjustments can be of important use to prove existing research findings or even indicate new insights in the topic of the fiscal economy. De Haan et al. (2007) took the aspect of gradual adjustments into account, by concentrating on the impact of factors on the appearance of rapid and gradual fiscal adjustments. In this research, we use......

...compensation are tied to a benchmark, companies must disclose where actual payments and awards fall within the targeted range and, if applicable, the reason for any compensation amounts that fall outside the targeted range. 2.4 Disclosure of Performance Targets Companies must disclose company and individual performance targets for incentive compensation and the actual achievement level against the targets if they are material elements of the company’s compensation policies and decisions, unless the disclosure would result in competitive harm to the company. 6 EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE HANDBOOK Since adoption of the rules, the SEC has consistently focused on this disclosure requirement and to date has issued more comment letters to companies on this item of disclosure than any other. The SEC has also clarified that although the general rules regarding disclosure of non-GAAP financial measures (Regulation G) do not apply to disclosure regarding performance-related target levels, a company must disclose how the target levels are calculated from its audited financial statements. Š Threshold Question Is Materiality. A company must first determine whether performance targets are a material element of the company’s compensation policies and decisions. If performance targets are not material, then the company is not required to disclose them. Whether performance targets are material is a facts-and-circumstances test, which a company must evaluate in good faith. The......

Audit Adjustments

...Audit Adjustments.  Jose A. Santos Nov. 19, 2013. Audit adjustments are proposed corrections of the financial statements that may not have been detected except through the audit procedures, regardless whether or not recorded by the entity. (www.wikiterm.com) According to AU Sec.380, Communication with Audit Committees, the auditor should inform the audit committee about adjustments arising from the audit that could, in his judgment, either individually or in the aggregate, have a significant effect on the entity's financial reporting process. Whether or not recorded by the entity, an audit adjustment is a proposed correction of the financial statements that, in the auditor's judgment, may not have been detected except through the auditing procedures performed. Matters underlying adjustments proposed by the auditor but not recorded by the entity could potentially cause future financial statements to be materially misstated, even though the auditor has concluded that the adjustments are not material to the current financial statements. The purpose of a financial audit is to add credibility to the assertions by a company’s management that its financial statements are fairly represented and free of material misstatements. An audit is not designed to provide absolute assurance but rather to reduce the risk of material misstatements whether caused by error or fraud. More specifically, a material misstatement is defined as “an error or omission that would affect the users...

...great pride that you are helping a young girl to learn to be a part of a team as well as giving back to your community. Your sponsorship will help buy equipment, uniforms, pay for umpires and the cost to maintain the fields. While the league tries not to turn any child away from playing it is getting harder due lack of financial sponsorships. Our league prides ourselves in helping many families with multiple children, and families that can’t afford the cost of the neighbor leagues, which can cost up to $180 for one child. The league does ask the girls to participle in fund raisers to help offset some of these costs. But with your help the league will be able to help more girls and families. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. If I may, I will phone your office in the next few days to arrange a convenient time to discuss the details of the proposed partnership. Portfolio Adjustments

...Assume you are the manager of a $100 million portfolio of corporate bonds and you believe interest rates will fall. What adjustments should you make to your portfolio based on your beliefs? As the manager of a $100 million portfolio of corporate bonds, I believe that interest rates are going to fall. Knowing that “bond prices and interest rates always move in opposite directions” (Ross, S. A., Westerfield, R., & Jordan, B. D., 2013), I realize that this anticipated decline in interest rates will cause the present value of the bond’s remaining cash flow to rise, and the bond value to rise. With this, this would cause the $100 million portfolio of bonds I manage to have a coupon rate higher than that of the market rate, and for them to be worth more than that of their face values. As such, these bonds would be considered to be premium bonds, and investors would be “willing to pay a premium to get this extra coupon amount” (Ross, S. A., Westerfield, R., & Jordan, B. D., 2013). Based on my beliefs, an adjustment I should make to my portfolio would be to sell some of the shorter duration bonds I currently manage, and purchase more with longer times to maturity. Because long duration bonds are more sensitive to interest rate changes, the more the interest rates fluctuate, the more change I should expect to see in the bond’s value. And, with my belief that interest rates are going to fall, the longer the times to maturity that the bonds in the portfolio I manage have,......

...Alexus Harris January 26, 2010 History 114 2:00 - 2:30 p.m Willie Lynch Letter: The Making of a Slave In the first paragraph of the Willie Lynch Letter introduction, he started thanking the men of the colony of Virginia for inviting him to the bank of the James River. Mr. Lynch was making the men of the plantation think that, installing the chip into the slaves will make everything run easily. He also stated that if the chip were implant into the minds of slaves, Ancient Rome would envy us as black people. Personally, I think the only reason that the Ancient Rome will envy us as slaves, because we let a method of the chip control our mind, body, soul, values, and beliefs. Mr. Lynch also stated that negative differences are better then positive differences. Just think about it. Why? Would Distrust be better then Trust, this is setting our slaves up to be lynch in my eyes. As a slave, you want freedom so; you are going to want your master to trust you so that you can escape. Mr. Lynch finally, said that over time if you constantly used the method for one year, then slaves will already no what they are expecting to perform. In the paragraph “Let’s Make a Slave,” it was focusing on the process of man breaking and slave making. This means that installing the chip into our black men will allow them to become more of a servant that helps the white man lynch other slaves. It also focused on human nature, and slave nature. Human Adjustment

...experiences and got to know each other. Now, I no longer jump to conclusions without, first gathering all information, analyzing it which brings out my ability to think critically. Not only have I learned to think critically, I have learned to set my priorities in order. Prior to this semester, my needs were completely derailed. It has been especially captivating for me to figure out how to manage my new life between school, work, and home with my family. That being said, week two helped me make some incredible adjustments on myself. I came to find out what my strengths and weaknesses were; more importantly, what my priorities are. Going out with friends, watching a lot of TV, or being on social media are distracting to me. I do my home work, go to school and go to work. However, I try as much as I can to balance my strengths and weaknesses to have a better mixture. This led me to ask myself who am I really? John W. Santrock in his book Human Adjustment talks about personality which he defines as a pattern of enduring distinctive thoughts emotions and behaviors that characterize the way an individual adapts to the world. Discussing objectives setting in week three truly made me contemplate certain objectives I have set for myself. I have developed some skills that helped me boost my self esteem. For example, whenever there is a discussion in class, I find myself, debating well without any setbacks. I'm always thrilled to go to school on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It......

Human Adjustment

...Assignment #1:" Personal Reflections Journal Entry." Dijon Adams Psychology of Adjustment Professor Cook November 5, 2015 Reflection of My Life Growing up as a child I didn’t think the adjustment of life as an adult was difficult. Life is all about the well-being of happiness that start with in, paint our self-images so what another view us won't hurt our self-esteem. I have been working for Elwyn for two years after I was terminated me a clear mind. That all alone the well-being of my happiness and health matter more. To work in a facility like that I wasn’t pleased, knowing I had a boss that didn’t care about my well-being. Allowing doubt to over-ride my self-esteem. Becoming a teen I was learning to make some decision on my own and becoming Muslim was one I told myself I would follow my father’s faith. To take me, shahada, it was something on my mind also weighing in my heart. Months after- my teen years I did just that followed the faith of Islam. My mother who has always been my number one supporter was fine with it, on the other hand, my aunt; an uncle had some much to say I started feeling like I had done something wrong. Being the person I am always caring, my self-esteem just went I would run so that I didn’t have to hear the negativity that came from them. To hear my aunt say. I don’t know my worth, to cover a gift God gave me is a disgrace, and I should be ashamed of myself. I lost my grandmother November 19, 2012, due to bleeding......

The Letter a

...I constructed the letter A. The way I built my letter resembled an isoceles triangle. My letter has two sides that are the same length and two of base angles are the same in length. The definintion of an isoceles triangle is a triangle with two sides of equal length and two congruent base angles. The letter A I built and isoceles triangle are almost a perfect match. Another geometry concept that connectes with my letter, A was an acute angle. An acute angle is an angle that is less than 90 degrees. The triangle inside the letter A I constructed has an acute angle. The triangle has 3 angles that are acute all are less than 90 degrees and will add up to 180 degrees. The final concept I thought my letter connects with is parallel lines. The two lines in the center of the letter A are parallel to eachother, the two lines will never cross eachother or intersect. Parallel lines are lines in a plane that will not touch, cross, or intersect even when the lines are extended. The two lines in the center are not the only ones that are parallel to each other, the one line on top of my letter and the other thats on the bottom are also parallel. Those are the three geometry concepts I thought my letter connected with. My first semester of geometry did not go as well as I would have liked it to go. I failed most of the tests and quizzes because I was not responsible and did not do the homework assigned and study the reviews given. Despite all my failures this semester I always went to......
