I am doing my report on the new row crop application system of the Balzer liquid manure handling equipment. Working on a large hog farm in Bloomfield, IN and just having added a Balzer Eliminator 7500 gallon slurry tank (non-row crop) to our operation I felt a report on this subject would be appropriate. The new addition to the Balzer Manufacturing Company is the row-crop application system. This system will allow producers to apply the nutrients needed into standing corn or beans in crucial times of the year. The row-crop edition will be on a 120 inch wheelbase needed for 30 inch rows. The application will be equipped with 18.4R38 tires. Balzer Independent Steerable Axle System allows for easier turning on end rows as well as a smooth ride over rough terrain. Grease banks are conveniently located for easy maintenance on the steering system. The Rite-Rate system is added as an option for precise, consistent application throughout the field. The standard Bull Pull hitch allows the hitch pin to move for smooth towing and less stress on critical areas. The system is equipped with 2- wheel brakes, but can be used with up to 6.It comes standard with hydraulic drive and PTO drive is optional.
A row-crop manure handling system would be a very rewarding addition to any operation. By having this option to side dress manure could well cut down on a producer’s application of fertilize, reducing quite a large portion of a producer’s expense. If we farmed more acres on our farm, a row-crop manure handling system would be a good addition for us. Having only roughly 400 acres of row-crop ground and around 50 acres of hay ground, a row-crop system would not be as useful to us as it would be to a larger, primarily row-crop…...

..."I think I am/am not an entrepreneur. I am a ... entrepreneur because...” 15/9/201 Introduction In this assignment, I will explain as to why I think I am a lifestyle entrepreneur and the reasons as to why I think I am classified as this type of entrepreneur. I will discuss what a lifestyle entrepreneur is as well as the major motivations that form an integral part of the lifestyle entrepreneur’s choice to follow the specified path. The following motivations of autonomy, family and leisure time, passion and intrinsic reward and satisfaction as well as life quality will be discussed at different stages of my assignment. I will also show how some of these motivations integrate together to form a basis for the lifestyle entrepreneur. What is a lifestyle entrepreneur? As noted by Henderson (2002:49), to support a desired lifestyle or provide a family income is reasons as to why a lifestyle entrepreneur will start a new venture. These entrepreneurs also seek independence and control over their own schedule. Whilst Mottiar (2007:67) argues that a lifestyle entrepreneur is concerned with maintaining income at a level sufficient enough to provide them and their family with adequate funds to allow them to enjoy their chosen lifestyle. As can been seen in the above, lifestyle entrepreneurs aim to make as much money as they require to live and maintain the lifestyle of their choice (Janssen-Selvadurai, 2010:187). Important components to the lifestyle entrepreneur that act as......

I Am What I Am

...“I Am What I AM” is a musical which was on shown in January in Sheung Wan Civic Centre. The story of the musical is actually a real-life story adapted from a Singapore transgender person, Abigail, about making a tough decision of being loyal to her true gender. Abigail’s frustration of whether to take the Sex Reassignment Surgery (“SRS” for short) or not was exquisitely presented in the musical, so as to communicate with the audience and encourage them to have an in-depth review about the related issue. Why Abigail hopes to be a female rather than a male? To uncover the underlying reasons, let’s start with knowing more about her life in early stage. Being born as a boy, Abigail felt that he was a girl deeply inside his mind. Liked other normal little girls, he loved playing Barbie dolls and doll’s houses. Presenting girls’ characteristics in his childhood gave him a derogatory nickname, “Girlish Boy”, which was frequently called by his classmates in primary school. Trying to conceal his female mind, Abigail always made himself looks like stronger, self-reliant through behaviors, thoughts but seems that was not successful. His classmates continued to laugh at him with offensive languages. When he grew up, he felt much more natural and comfortable to play with girls while sensed shy to play with boys. In Singapore, boys who aged 18 had to serve their duty in military. During that period, Abigail took baths in late evening after all the other soldiers took their baths. It......

Am Radio as an Agent of Socialization

...target market. Cable TV for example, caters to the upper socio-economic brackets, so do broadsheets written in English. What is clearly evident across these forms of mass media is that the language used is a common distinguishing factor as to the target market (i.e. English for those of the AB to upper C socio-economic brackets, and Filipino for those of the lower socio-economic brackets). Zooming into radio: most, if not all, AM radio stations are broadcasted in Filipino, making it more accessible to the masses. Aside from the language, the content and format reinforce radio as the masses’ medium of choice; aside from news and commentary, AM radio also consists of soap operas, talk shows, and the ever-popular showbiz gossip or tsismis . Radio is also acknowledged as the primary, most pervasive and most persuasive source of news, reaching 85 to 90 percent of the Philippine population . With regard to the language being used in the plain, simple and objective (though some may argue that news is rarely objective per se) reporting of the news in AM radio, it can be said that the news anchors take on a more formal tone of the Filipino language – the type of language not used for normal or daily conversations. Anchors such as Joel Reyes Zobel, Arnold Clavio and Mike Enriquez of DZBB 594, for example exhibit impeccable use of the Filipino language. On the other hand, when it comes to commentary, we see a shift from a rather formal use of the Filipino language to a more casual......

Am Emitter

...AM emitter Introduction: This is the second project done in Communication Systems Lab, the first one was an FM transmitter and it was to communicate via radio transmission using FM modulation technique, and this one is the AM emitter, and the purpose of this project is to create an AM emitter at a bandwidth around 1000Hz. Now what is an AM emitter? An AM emitter is a circuit builds to modulate the message signal and transmit it, where the amplitude of the carrier signal varies in direct propagation with the message signal. It is limited in power but provides amplitude modulation of voice over the medium waveband. Circuit: Procedure: We connect the circuit as shown, but first we de attach the audio circuit that is connected to the oscillator by 4.7uF capacitor, and using a capacitor of 100pf, and then we connect the oscilloscope at the antenna. When I didn’t obtain a sine wave on the oscilloscope, I by the help of the instructor Dr Amin Abillamaa, connect the inductor to the emitter of the first transistor. After this I got a very high sine wave so I substituted that capacitor from 100pf to 1000pf (1nf), and then we got a carrier signal, and also we replace the variable capacitor by a 330pf. Before connecting the audio part, we connect the function generator to the 4.7uF capacitor and we set the parameters to 3Vpp and 800Hz. Then we remove the oscilloscope and we connect the alligator as an antenna and we change in the radio frequency to het a pure......

I Am a Monument

...I am a type of structure that was explicitly created to commemorate a person or important event, or which has become important to a social group as a part of their remembrance of historic times or cultural heritage, or as an example of historic architecture. I am a 'monument' which is often applied to buildings or structures that are considered examples of important architectural and/or cultural heritage. In English the word "monumental" is often used in reference to something of extraordinary size and power, as in monumental sculpture, but also to mean simply anything made to commemorate the dead, as a funerary monument or other example of funerary art. I have been created for thousands of years, and are often the most durable and famous symbols of ancient civilizations. As societies became organized on a larger scale, we have become symbols of their civilizations. In more recent times, monumental structures such as the Statue of Liberty and Eiffel Tower have become iconic emblems of modern nation-states. The term monumentality relates to the symbolic status and physical presence of a monument. I am a major tourist attraction across the world. Slowly but surely, extreme weather is weakening me as well as my friends across the globe. Commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the remains of his cherished wife,I, the Taj Mahal stand on the southern bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. Built over more than 20 years, i am one of the most outstanding......

Wuw ÃDepartment of Information and Computer Education, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, and National Taichung Nursing College, Taichung, Taiwan wDepartment of Information and Computed Education, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan Abstract This paper reports our implementation of a handheld wireless environment to support Jigsaw cooperative learning activities in a college setting. A quasi-experimental research design was conducted to investigate the effects of using handhelds, as well as issues associated with the use of handheld technology. Two intact classes of fourth-year students from a five-year junior nursing college participated in the experiment. Our findings showed that handheld tools enhanced both students’ attitudes and performance in learning, and promoted better interactions among students and instructors. We also found that the handheld technology was not sophisticated enough to support cooperative learning goals without full support from a technology specialist. collaboration, empirical, handhelds, ICT use, nursing, post-secondary. Keywords Introduction With recent advances in wireless communication technology and mobile devices, the application of handheld technology in education is expected to increase. ...problem-solving oriented REFLECTION: Since manana habit is still common among us Filipinos and it brings more negative effects than positive effects, we should avoid living with this habit. CONCLUSION PRESENTATION THE END Author: Jose Aguirre Date: Aug 26, 2014 Mañana Habit The Mañana Habit is something that we have learned from the Spaniards. The word “Mañana” means ‘tomorrow’ or ‘specified future time’. As Wikipedia defines it – it’s “in the indefinite future (used to indicate procrastination – the action of delaying or postponing something)”, or “mamaya na” in Filipino. Breaking the Mañana Habit Posted on February 5, 2015 at 12:01 am mich IT’S quite typical for a Filipino to beat the deadline, whether we’re talking about submission of reports, filing of income taxes, completing registrations, studying for an exam, or basically anything that concerns a scheduled compliance. Yes, admit it or not, Filipinos are one good race of crammers! Of course, everybody knows this as the so-called mañana habit, taken from the words “mamaya na.” This is plainly the Filipinos’ sense of complacency, being too confident and relaxed in the midst of an undertaking, whether big or small. As many of us would say, “Why do it now if you can do it later?” Seemingly, most people would like to work under pressure; beating the last minutes before submission gives them that mental vigor and zest and they believe that’s the best time their......

Who Am I? Why Am I Here?

...Who Am I? My name is xxxxxxxxx and I am a woman originally born in the city of xxxxxx, xxxxx. I came to the United States at age five and I recently became xxx years old on my birthday, this past xxxx x, xxxx. As a woman of Hispanic origin, I am very rich in Latin and Central American Indian culture. I grew up with my mom and aunts speaking a derivative of Pig Latin. I have a Spanish style of cooking and mostly all my plates are xxxxxx dishes. I may have grown up in the states all my life, but I’m almost 100% rooted in Spanish customs. As a person, I identify myself as a child of God. Spiritually, I am always seeking knowledge and wisdom since I believe it comes from God. My faith is deeply rooted in my confession, that I am a spirit who will one day return to my maker. Holding such a belief has its advantages. For example, I generally do not abide by society’s norm of what I should be, or my role in life. I also believe that if I’m still here, there’s work to be done. I love to explore Biblical concepts and beliefs. As a mother I am an attentive soul. I’m always looking out for my children and their personal interest. I like to give them their space, but yet hold them accountable. I tend to be conservative with my children and do not try to push them beyond their limits. To me, being who we are and doing what we do, just as we choose whether to build a relationship with God, is a very personal matter. While most people do not like my parenting style, I think it’s......

I Am Malala Book Report

...Mary Damayo Mrs. Blumenthal English 2 Honors 3 January 2014 I Am Malala Malala Yousafzai, along with Christina Lamb, composes an autobiography that illustrates Malala’s tale in a dangerous country, while also displaying her passionate dedication to making the world a better and equal place. This nonfiction piece of writing was published on October 8th, 2013 by Little, Brown and Company. It has since received the Goodreads Choice Awards Best Memoir & Autobiography for the great achievement of recollecting Malala’s brave endeavors. In I Am Malala, she begins with recounting her younger years in which her demand for equal women’s rights had stemmed from, and afterwards, how she grew into an independent, young woman who spoke for millions of females in her country that could not receive education. In the beginning of I Am Malala, Malala describes her home as “the most beautiful place in all the world. My valley, the Swat Valley, is a heavenly kingdom of mountains, gushing waterfalls and crystal-clear lakes” (15). She also spoke about everything that she had loved and was proud about in her home: from her admirable father who, unlike most Pashtuns, rejoiced upon receiving a daughter in a country that honors sons, to her best friend Moniba, with whom she had laughed and confided in, and Malka-e-Noor, her rival for top of the class at Kahshul School. Her name derives from Malalai of Maiwand, “the greatest heroine of Afghanistan”, who “inspired the Afghan army to defeat...

Who Am I

...WHO AM I The first social category I can identify myself with is being a woman and the second would be I am of white race. The most controversial would be my social category as a woman. Discrimination of women can start as early as childbirth. According to www.dosomething.org UNICEF reports, “Where there is a clear economic or cultural preference for sons, the misuse of [pregnancy diagnostic tools] can facilitate female feticide.” This means that in certain countries like China families will abort or give their child up for adoption for being a girl. Over 90% of females in Egypt, Sudan and Somalia and, widely spread in Africa are made to have genital cutting done. This process is where the clitoris and labia are cut off young girls as early as the age of four. Certain religions believe that sexual intercourse is not to be used for pleasure but only for child bearing however, this procedure is extremely painful to the girls who receive. Women have been fighting for equality for many years according to www.equalrightsadmendment.org the first visible public demand for equality came in 1848.This took place at the first Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls, NY. Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott who met while working against slavery organized it. These two women convened a two-day meeting consisting of 300 men and women to fight for woman for justice in society. It was not until after the Civil War that women were included by a new amendment in the constitution....
