...therefore by experience we can determine that our p-value is extremely small. Thankfully Excel can calculate the p-value with a flick of the wrist and we could verify that our p-value is a lot smaller than our level of significance (alpha). Since our calculated p value was lower than our alpha value we reject the null hypothesis.            In the end, our results tell us that we do not have significant enough evidence to prove that listening to classical music while you study correlates with a high GPA. So coming back to our initial purpose of this test, we will not be exploring a classical station targeted towards college students because it is not as effective as we thought it would be. Data Analysis What we were trying to find. For our project we decided to find out whether students who listen to classical music while they study have a higher GPA than those who listen to other types of music. We estimated a high percentage of students with high GPA’s will listen to classical music since we have always been told that this boosts brain activity. What questions were sampled and why. We took a poll of two questions: 1. What is your GPA?     A) 3.6-4.0     B) 3.0-3.5     C) 2.6-2.9     D) 2.5 or below 2. Do you listen to music while you are studying? If so, what genre?     A) Classical     B) Country     C) Electronic     D) Rock     E) Hip Hop/Rap     F) Other For question one we decided to do ranges instead of actual GPA in order to make the data easier to follow......

...Project Security Plan This plan was developed by David Hanuschak, Managing Director of On-point Technologies, in cooperation with other key members of the On-point Technologies staff.   About On-point Technologies We are a three man great solution for your networking needs. On-point technologies are top rated with the Better Business Bureau for customer satisfaction. Objectives   This security plan is our first. We will take a broad view of the security risks facing the firm and take prompt action to reduce our exposure. Everyone remembers the virus attack we had earlier this year, and we hope to avoid another disaster like that! However, I hope that by taking a wider view, we may be able to plan for threats we don’t know about yet.   I realize that we are limited in time, people, and (of course) cash. Our main priority is to continue to grow a successful business. We cannot hope for Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)-like security, and it wouldn’t be good for our culture to turn On-point into Fort Knox. The project team has weighed these constraints carefully in deciding what to do and has tried to strike a balance between practicality, cost, comfort, and security measures. We are all convinced, however, that doing nothing is not an option.   I am taking responsibility for leading this review and ensuring that all the action items are carried out. I am concerned about the risks we face, although having reviewed the plan, I am sure we can address them properly.......

...| Civilian Personnel Advisory Council Capstone Project | | | Heidi M Burbank | 6/1/2015 | HRM 291 Jack McCallum | Introduction Working for the Federal Government has advantages and disadvantages. Many of the concerns of working for other companies like EEO, and Affirmative action have been long covered in the form of a policy letter. Which is a formal document for the government typically on the military sector which dictates the rules and refers the document to official military regulations approved by the Department of Defense (DoD). The government has a very formal process when looking at how they select employees and search for new talent. I primarily work with the Army and the Army for both soldiers and civilians has a very formal process for training and professional development. The Army has a variety of training methods. Online training through multiple websites, and locations for resident training, many positions require formal training before permissions to certain systems. Selection Vacancies and Hiring Selection for government positions is done through a government website USAJOBS.gov. Each position is posted on this website and the posting gives salary range, open period-when you can apply, series and grade- who you work for and what starting salary you will earn, position information full-time, part-time and temporary, duty location, who may apply, what type of security clearance is required, and whether you are in a......
