Humans often wonder what their obligations are and what they owe their fellow man. There are many answers to this inquiry, as there are many things we owe to each other as human beings. Every human being has an obligation to care for our planet Earth. We owe it to our predecessors as well as our future generations to protect and preserve the planet. We owe protection to the Earth for providing us with abundant resources and allowing us to inhabit it. In Recent years, humans’ negative effects on the Earth have become more evident. Pollution is slowly rotting away the protective ozone layer, causing ice caps to melt and the water levels to increase. The animal population suffers because of over-hunting, poaching and the destruction of habitats. Humans are taking advantage of the planet Earth, and our careless ways are slowly destroying this beautiful planet on which we live. The animals with which we share this planet are facing the brunt of our mistreatment of the Earth. The Endangered Species list is growing at an alarming pace, and no region is safe. “One in four mammals is threatened with extinction” (Rogers, EarthFirst) In Africa, elephants are being hunted for ivory and lions are being hit by cars on roads going through their habitats. The alligator population of the Florida Everglades is dwindling due to habitat destruction and the penguins of Antarctica are now endangered due to careless human mistakes such as oil spills. Most of this peril is due to the destruction and tampering of animal habitats by humans. Agriculture is one reason for these habitat losses. “Today there is increasing pressure to redevelop conservation lands for high-priced food and bio-fuel crops” (National Wildlife Federation) Another reason is development. Mother Earth

...Our planet is in great danger. For the last one hundred or so years, the people of earth have wasted and misused the natural recourses of earth. Several plans have been developed to stop the abuse of earth. Some of these plans I will discuss in this essay, many of which can be executed by any one. Environmental problems have become so complex that many individuals feel they can have no effect on them. Problems like oil spills, hazardous waste, loss of rain forests, endangered species, acid rain, the ozone layer, the municipal waste crisis can feel out of our control. At the very least, these problems require group and corporate action or government intervention. However, there are some things the individual can control. Our waste reduction and recycling activities can make a difference. That's why so many communities began voluntary recycling programs. There are some household items that are dangerous if they are just thrown away with the regular garbage these items can damage the environment and injure plant and animal life some of these may include moth balls, spot removers, aerosol cans, fluorescent light tubes and shoe polish. Your local waste management agency has information on how to properly dispose of these items. A compost bin may be set up in your yard. Compost bins return plant and some food materials to the soil through decomposition so it can be used as a natural soil additive, called compost. Alien from Earth Essay

...In the Alien from earth, I believe that a completely new type of species was discovered that is at most a distant cousin to humans. Because they resemble humans in the way they look and the way they move around, use tools, hunt, etc., it is easy to try to fit them into our human evolutionary time line. Because we are seeing the world through our own perspective, the first thing to do is see all that is similar and decide where that fits in relation to us. I believe there are many reasons to think this is another species. The simple number of things that “don't make sense” if we view homo floresiensis through a human perspective is the first warning flag, even though it isn't a scientifically provable reason. This specimen breaks many of the “rules” that science has believed, such as the smaller brain capable of tool-use and other complex thought, the general size decrease instead of increase, and the time frame that it lived. We are forced to either re-think the way we see what we believe to be a nearly linear evolution, or we must believe that these are either a completely different species. While the island effect had never been observed for a human, of course it can't instantly be discounted. But I find it difficult to believe that the island effect would take a typical homo erectus and cause the exact changes to it that would be needed to allow it to both fit with and have the same overall proportions as australopithecus. ...The continental drift theory was first proposed by a German called Alfred Wenger in 1915. He suggested that the earth’s continents were once joined together, but gradually moved apart over millions of years. This once ‘supercontinent’ was known as Pangea – which translates to ‘’All Earth’’. Pangaea started to break up into two smaller supercontinents, called Laurasia and Gondwanaland, during the Jurassic period. By the end of the Cretaceous period, the continents were separating into land masses that look like our modern-day continents. However, Wenger did not have the evidence to explain how these continents could move. Over the course of this essay I will review some of the evidence that support continental drift, such as fossil records and mountain ranges. One of the strongest pieces of evidence is Continental break up/fit, this is the idea that the continents were once joined together. This theory became apparent when Alfred Wenger identified that the edge of tectonic plates, continental shelf, seeming to fit together in a jig-saw fashion. For example, if you take the eastern edge of South America and the Western side of Africa they fit together almost perfectly, too perfect for it to be a coincidence. Note that it is the edge of the tectonic plates themselves that fit together and not the forever changing individual shorelines of the countries. Hopefully not and thanks to these two people we didn’t! 2 months ago a 2 boys named Kade Kostus and Kevin Durant met together at a basketball court in Miami ‘Florida, there was some crazy hot weathers and finally it happened. 2 girls from Japan have set bombs of in the earth’s inner core so most of the chemicals keeping us alive in the inner core have shot up in the sky and landed tall buildings. The buildings on the next day have fallen apart and killed about 3000 people in the city of Miami. Kade and Kevin met up again in Rockford Michigan and they talked about making a big ship that shoots underground so they could bag up the chemicals and place them back in the earth.
