1. INTRODUCTION

Frozen foods and confectionary is a thriving business in Malaysia. Confection based foods such as bakeries and pastries such as frozen foods have become the preferred choice for busy parents and people, thus it is a good business to be ventured into.

The founder of Craving Puffs Sdn Bhd (from here on will be referred to as CPSB) is Mr Ali who was born and raised in Kedah. Curry Puffs is among the famous traditional snack, loved by Malaysians all over the country. It is also known as “Karipap”, “Karipap Pusing” or “Epok-Epok” in Bahasa Malaysia. The light and flaky pastry of curry puff, hold the contents of the delicious curry or sambal (read as spice and chillies) stuffing.

With Ali’s great vision and enthusiasm in entrepreneurship, he decided to venture into this challenging business with a future plan to expand the market at international level. He left his job with determination to become a successful entrepreneur. CPSB was later joined by Ali’s business partners, Ina and Fatimah, and started selling the homemade curry puffs in a small shop in his hometown, Kedah. As the business grew, another two business partners joined the company namely Hassan and Ahmad.

A good curry puff's pastry is light, crispy and flaky yet moderately firm. The stuffing includes creamy potatoes, spice, morsels of mutton, or chicken. The combination of a great pastry and deliciously prepared stuffing brings you "home" to the good of home style cooking, where food is lovingly prepared.

2. PURPOSE OF THE PAPERWORK

The purpose of the paperwork is to present the expansion plans of CPSB to run the frozen food business in Malaysia.

2.1 We wish to apply for loan, with the sum of RM50,000 from HSBC Bank (M) Sdn Bhd.

2.2 The tenure of the loan will be in 5 years.

2.3 Cost of investment is RM80,000, where RM30,000 will come from…...
