(A) I agree that love is for Romeo’s goal because he shows and give a lot of affection towards Juliet and would do anything for. And for example he goes to Juliet’s window and tells her how she feels. (B) To Romeo Juliet was his everything he cared for and loved her with all his heart . and he knew that she felt the same way, he didn’t care of the family feud because all he wanted was Juliet’s heart and be together for the rest of their life (A) I agree that peace is for Benvolio’s goal because he wanted everything to go well with Romeo , as Romeo’s cousin he didn’t want any trouble between them or anyone else .For example Benvolio attempts to stop the fight between the servants. (B) Benvolio wishes to help Romeo's parents by learning from Romeo why he has been acting so strangely and trying to avoid everyone. When he questions Romeo gently and learns that his problem is lovesickness, he counsels Romeo to look at other beauties and forget about anyone who is not interested in him. (A) I agree the Tybalt wanted revenge on Romeo because Romeo came to a Capulet party without being invited. (B) Tybalt shows his stubbornness at the Capulet party. Lord Capulet urges Tybalt to control himself, telling him that he is acting like a boy trying to be a man. Although Tybalt has to give in to his uncle, he wants to get revenge on Romeo for coming to the Capulet party uninvited. The next day, Tybalt sends a letter to Romeo's house challenging him to a duel.

PART B: A) After the Capulet party, Benvolio and Mercutio try to find Romeo and still believe he loves Rosaline. Romeo can’t imagine how he can ever find joy, happiness, or love without Rosaline but Benvolio, seeing Rosaline’s name on the list, persuades Romeo to go to the party and compare Rosaline’s beauty with the other women at the party. Basically, Benvolio is telling Romeo that there is more…...

I Love You

...I love you!! I love you. These famous three words are associated with a very famous computer virus. The virus originated in the Philippines and was created by two young Filipino programmers. This computer virus infected tens of millions of computers and cost over $5.5 billion dollars in damages worldwide. The computers were infected so rapidly that in ten days 50 million computers were infected. The virus was successful at propagating because of several reasons. One of the main reasons was that the virus was sent by email and came from someone you know, as the virus sent itself to the first 50 contacts in Outlook. Since it came from someone that you knew people would open it without any thought. Another reason it was successful was that it depended on some of the vulnerabilities of the Operating System, in this case the file was a VBS script and Microsoft’s scripting engine was on by default. It was also good at confusing computer users because even if you were computer savvy the virus tried to mask its extension in the filename by using .txt in the name. the virus also was a pain because it ran at boot up and also replaced and damaged files in with these extensions. JPG, JPEG, VBS, VBE, JS, JSE, CSS, WSH, SCT, DOC, HTA, MP2, and MP3. It replaced the files with these extensions with copied of itself. . The virus also downloaded a Trojan. This was also a time that no one was worried about computer security so you can imagine the damage this computer virus did. Nowadays......

Romeo Juliet Love Through the Ages

...Hershberger, Rusty Dwinell Period 1 3/9/12 Romeo and Juliet different love in a different time This essay is all about the different types of love mentioned In the book. The book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare takes place in the late sixteenth century in the Italian city of Verona. In the book, Romeo and Juliet meet at a party and instantly fall in love, even though they are from feuding families. There love causes many deaths, including there own, but in the end the two families, the Capulets and Montagues, end their feud while mourning for the two lost teens. Shakespeare talks about many types of love but this essay will include platonic, Romantic, and familial even though there are many other types of love mentioned in the play. The first type of love is platonic. Platonic love is the love between friends and it can usually be a very good and helpful thing especially when some one is getting over a former girlfriend like Romeo is in the book. The first time you see Romeo's friends helping him is when Benvolio and Marcutio are trying to convince Romeo to go to the Capulets party (1.4). This was good for Romeo for a few reasons one is that his friends are trying to help him get over Rosalin who Romeo had been dating until they broke up just before the story starts. When the story starts and we first see Romeo he seems very sad about his "break up" with Rosalin (1.2 166-244). In this scene we found Romeo sitting alone and when Benvolio goes to talk......

The Themes of Love and Hate in Romeo and Juliet

...Themes of Love and Hate in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet 1 Themes of Love and Hate in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet is a play about two young lovers, whose love was destined for destruction from the beginning because of the hatred between the two families, Montagues and Capulets. Therefore, the themes of love and hate are very important in the play as the plot is driven by these two themes. Shakespeare brings out the love between the two rivals through Romeo and Juliet and their relationships with the Friar and the Nurse. I want to argue that in the play, the themes of love and hate are closely linked. To show this, I have selected some of the most important scenes in the play, which illustrate the idea that love and hate are closely bound together. The first example is the chorus, which is found at the beginning of the play, in the prologue. It is a short summary of what the play is about. The chorus is in the form of a sonnet and sonnets were often associated with love in the time of Shakespeare. However, the words of the chorus seem to emphasize the idea of hate although there are some words about love. “From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.” (Prologue, 3-4) These two lines are about the feud between the families. It shows that it is a feud, which has been brewing for many years. By repeating the words civil, Shakespeare is stressing the fact that they are all......

Discuss Romantic Love in Romeo and Juliet

...Discuss romantic love in Romeo and Juliet Romantic love is a recurring theme throughout the play. Shakespeare introduces Romeo at the beginning of the play when he is depressed about love. “Out of her favour, where I am in love” He’s been rejected by Rosaline despite his efforts to court her. However, this is not seen as romantic love, but just infatuation. Romeo is portrayed as innocent towards love and has not yet experience so-called “true love”. The idea of romantic love is shown all the play. Shakespeare presents this as a force of nature. This idea is established in the play’s prologue “a pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life.” When Romeo meets Juliet at the Capulet’s party, Romeo’s feelings towards Rosaline are completely forgotten. “Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night” this shows how awestruck Romeo is with not only with the possibility of love but also with Juliet’s beauty. Romeo and Juliet's love can be seen as fate. Romeo and Juliet’s love is not prevented by the Capulet and Montague households, and Juliet is to marry Paris. Yet, they find themselves drawn together. Juliet’s attitude to love is rather different to Romeo’. In the beginning, she appears to be very mature towards the feelings of love when discussing the prospects of marrying Paris. “I’ll look to like, if looking liking move” Paris’ love for Juliet is borne out of tradition, not passion. He has identified her as a good candidate for...

I Love Teaching

...I LOVE TEACHING "Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them become what they are capable of becoming." - Goethe When you provide your students with the tools and encouragement of a "you can do it" attitude the heights they may reach are limitless and there is nothing I enjoy more than being a facilitator to this occurrence. I had such a wonderful experience being a college instructor that I just couldn't stay away for long. I can list off an endless amount of fun, memorable learning experiences that I had with each one of my phenomenal teachers, and I feel so blessed to have had such passionate educators to guide me along throughout these beginning years in my life and instill a love of learning that I have carried with me since then. I now teach because there is no other profession where you have smiling enthusiastic faces walk through your door each morning happy to be there and asking "What are we going to learn today?" I teach because these children are our future. Wherever their passion lies I hope to provide my students with a foundation that is strong and will supply them with all of the necessary tools to make all of their dreams and goals a reality. I teach because being a part of opening previously locked doors of information is a priceless feeling that cannot be achieved doing anything else. I teach because I truly want to make a positive difference in the world. "A hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove,...

I Agree

...I agree with Krauthammer's article completely. How can we as a society turn our back on our space program? His article shows his admiration for imagination, which came to life. Almost 40 years ago the space program was put in motion. The thought of mankind walking on the moon created a generation of scientist. Some of his points on where we place priority are evident. How can we spend time and money on a space station that we share with the Russians and not try to still excel above the rest of our counter parts? The mission remains ours to maintain our status in the science history books. We are experiencing problems at an alarming rate such as disease, unemployment, war, etc. Why not invest in the future and accept what it could bring. Imagine how it could jump start the vast number of great minds that exist in our communities here in the United States of America. So if our nation can spend billions on stimulus, why not put monies in our future space programs for our advancement? Furthermore, through the missions to the moon has created a new profound consciousness of earth’s environmental precautions. We have become a society that is deep into extra-terrestrials now more than ever before and why stop now? The moon we left behind, with possibilities to soar higher than anyone could have ever imagined. However Krauthammer thinks if the president can give out stimulus monies to bail out the banks and the auto industry. Why not put money into search to the moon. The author...

I Love the Beatles

...I love the Beatles! I really love the Beatles. They are so great. I love listening to the all the time. My children also love listening to them. I can’t tell but I think that they might have been on drugs there for a few years while writing their songs. Lucy in the sky of diamonds seems like some crazy stuff was happening back stage!! Here is a small article I found on the beetles. Hope that you enjoy. “The Beatles also had seven other songs peppering the Hot 100 chart (there were a whopping 12 Beatles songs on that week’s Hot 100). That same week, The Beatles also held the top two spots on Billboard’s albums chart with Meet The Beatles! and Introducing…The Beatles. These U.S. chart records have never been broken!” “February 7th, 1964. The Beatles arrive in New York. Paul: "There were millions of kids at the airport, which nobody had expected. We heard about it in mid-air. There were journalists on the plane, and the pilot had rang ahead and said, 'Tell the boys there's a big crowd waiting for them.' We thought, 'Wow! God, we really have made it.' " Today marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' US debut. On this date in 1964, The Beatles flew together across the Atlantic for the first time, in hopes of cracking the USA - something no British band had yet managed to do. By the time the third and last of their first Beatles Ed Sullivan broadcasts aired - a little more than two weeks after their arrival - the band would be back home, having made broadcasting history and......

I Love You

...I start everything I write with a “I don’t know…” but this time I do. I know what it is that I want. And if I don’t get it then we can’t be what we are! Tintin I want you and I want you to want me the way I want you. I don’t like any bloody friend of yours. I don’t even find him good looking. I pretend so that I can spend time with you when we run out of topics in public. It is not like I was not living until you came along but now that I have met you, I have realized that how incomplete I was without you and how difficult it will be to go on without you. I see a future where we are together always. A place where we fight like siblings, argue like couples and care for each other more than anything in this world. I write when I am sad. And right now I am extremely sad. Behind these eyes I hide a lot of secrets and dark pasts. You know nothing about the life I have lived. I am not the really the happy-go-lucky girl. I am the quite little girl who is scared on the inside just coz I don’t want my heart to be broken again. Before I met you I had a guy in my life not a boyfriend but yes something very close to that. He hit me. I loved him more than anyone. He scattered my heart into a million pieces. I picked up the pieces and loved you. Loved you with whatever I had left. But not anymore, I can’t pretend to not love; I already am in love with you. You took my heart away the very first time you met me....

I Love Lucy Loves Stereotypes

...I Love Lucy Loves Stereotypes I Love Lucy is an American television series from the 1950s following the Lucy and Ricky Ricardo family. Ricky’s in show business and Lucy’s the housewife that tends to drive him crazy with all the trouble she gets into. Episode 23 in season 2, “Lucy Hires a Maid”, Ricky notices how overwhelmed and tired Lucy is with all the house chores and caring for their new-born son. He sends in a note to the employment agency for a maid but leaves the responsibility of interviewing and hiring her to Lucy. Lucy caves in to the first woman who arrives and this maid, Mrs. Porter, is the opposite of what they need; she eats all their food and is no help with the baby. Both Lucy and Ricky are terrified of her but in the end Ricky calls her up and fires her. Messages about gender in I Love Lucy illustrate that women should work inside of the house and men should work outside of the house because women are caretakers and men are money makers through Lucy’s status as a mother, Ricky’s status as breadwinner, and Lucy’s inability to act in a business fashion. Gender roles are very obvious in I Love Lucy, as Lucy acts like the “ideal” American housewife; she does not have a professional job and puts on a dumbfounded face whenever Ricky talks about business, politics, economics, or anything that does not relate to housework. Lucy takes complete care of Ricky Jr, their son. In episode 23, during season 2, Lucy tries to get Ricky to be the one to take care of the......

Why I Love Pizza

...Why I Love Pizza – A Personal Essay About My Favorite Food Why I Love Pizza – A Personal Essay About My Favorite Food Posted by: I Dream Of Pizza in MiscellaneousNovember 21, 2008 Ever since I was a little boy, pizza has always had a special place in my heart. From pizza day in the school cafeteria to pizza parties at sleep away camp, there was nothing more exciting than when that cardboard box was opened to reveal a round pie with eight delicious slices waiting to be devoured. Early on I learned that everybody eats their pizza differently. There are those who fold their slices in half, those who eat their slices with two hands, and those who (dare I say) like to cut their pizza with a fork and knife. Some people soak up the olive oil with a napkin, while others don’t mind a greasy slice. Some people like the crust, while others live for that first bite. Some people decorate their slices with spices, while others like it plain. Nearly any ingredient can be put on pizza. From pepperoni and anchovies to barbecue chicken and pineapple, every pizza pie is like a unique work of art. Every pie is a different shape and size. There are thin crust pies, deep dish pies, and everything in between. There are pies with different cheeses and tomato sauce, or even pies with a completely different base altogether. Growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC there weren’t so many great options for pizza. Ordering in from Domino’s and Pizza Hut was a weekly occurrence. But when I......
