An Innovative Stay In Touch Software

INTRODUCTION

In today’s world, with so much information being constantly updated and peoples desire to access this information where they want to has created a demand for a new visionary technology which is fast, convenient and more important up to date. As the movement away from printed media increase and the explosion of PDA devices into the market, there is potential for a new company to link the media world with wireless technology. A new innovative software allowing users to subscribe to the most up to the minute information in an easy user friendly fashion and directly on a piece of hardware that is essential in everyone’s lives, is exactly the answer.

I write to you today, The New AT&T, the leading cell phone provider with the most international capabilities to ask that you consider funding our SIT software (stay in touch), which in turn will be implemented on your PDA hardware devices. Our SIT software compatible with your PDA device will enable users to view the most instant and accurate information of newspapers, magazines, bloggs and specialty media sources from all around the world. To this end, I will argue that in the future this technology will offer a powerful tool for individuals that want multiple sources of information from around the world that is easily presented on the hardware device they already own. Being well aware that there are other concepts similar to ours that already exist, we will support our vision by applying concepts from IS research to the constantly evolving world of technology. In particular, we will relate our vision to the concepts of the socio-technical model in two separate models, one for the similar concepts describing the different components and showing the breakdown compared to another model of our vision and how all of the different components successfully…...

If a company is negligent about security controls then they should be held liable for losses sustained in a successful attack on their AIS. There are a variety of sources that threaten accounting information systems and if they are ignored then this can destroy the relevance and reliability of the financial information. It is very important to establish security controls during the data collection process. During this process the transaction or event should be valid, complete and free from material errors. An unauthorized user can pretend to be an authorized user, which is called masquerading. Another activity that hackers use during data collection is called piggybacking, which is tapping into the telecommunications lines. Companies need to establish security controls during this process so hackers can’t get into their accounting information system. Threats during the data processing phase can also occur. A few threats that can occur during this phase would include: creating illegal programs, accessing or deleting files, destroying or......

...Society Takes Over On a cool summer morning, one of my mother’s high school students that lived in the projects of the Bronx who is a black male towering at a height of 6’6” and three hundred and sixty-five pounds just fresh out of jail charged on a gun possession. My mom and I wanted a better life for him so we took him out to breakfast one morning at the Ihop nearby our house. After we ordered our food, he went to the restroom as everyone moved out of his way with his purple bandanas showing to represent his gang. An older lady came up to my mom and I and asked if we were ok and if he was with us with a startled face. Right then and there I realized society makes bold stereotypes off of appearance and race. In the two articles “Hip Hop Planet” and “Black Men and Public Space” society stereotypes identity by appearance and race. The authors in both articles explain their thoughts on appearance and race. Brent Staples in “Black Men and Public Space” feels appearance is a strong way for society to judge people. Also he states that more black males cause fear in people than any other race. James McBride actually states his fear is his daughter marrying a rapper with gold teeth and a do-rag. He also says hip-hop in New York started from black males in Harlem and the Bronx. Brent displays his experiences on the streets to show that society stereotypes race and appearance. Staples states, “At dark shadowy intersections, I could cross in front of a car stopped......

...Maasai villagers, Tehranians, Americans—each is a society. But what does this mean? Exactly what is a society? In sociological terms, society refers to a group of people who live in a definable community and share the same culture. On a broader scale, society consists of the people and institutions around us, our shared beliefs, and our cultural ideas. Daily life always changes, it can be hard one day and joyful the next, but daily life has changed so much between preindustrial, industrial, and postindustrial society. Before the Industrial Revolution and the widespread use of machines, societies were small, rural, and dependent largely on local resources. Economic production was limited to the amount of labor a human being could provide, and there were few specialized occupations. The very first occupation was that of hunter-gatherer. Hunter-gatherer societies demonstrate the strongest dependence on the environment of the various types of preindustrial societies. These groups were based around tribes. Hunter-gatherers relied on their surroundings for survival—they hunted wild animals and foraged for plants for food. When resources became low, the group moved to a new area to find food. These societies were common until several hundred years ago, but today only a few hundred remain in existence, such as indigenous Australian tribes sometimes referred to as “aborigines,” or the Bambuti, a group of pygmy hunter-gatherers residing in the Democratic Republic of Congo.......

...Section: Society In Waiting for Godot Beckett proposes the view that happiness can never be enduring; it comes and goes and is subject to chance and change. Whether in postwar 1953 or credit crisis 2009, is encouraging people to think happy thoughts more like a desperate recourse to denial than a therapy struggling to engage with reality? Vladimir: Say you are, even if it's not true. Estragon: What am I to say? Vladimir: Say, I am happy. Estragon: I am happy. Vladimir: So am I. Estragon: So am I. Vladimir: We are happy. Estragon: We are happy. (Silence.) What do we do now, now that we are happy? Vladimir: Wait for Godot.( n1) An outbreak of happiness interrupts the otherwise bleak landscape of Waiting for Godot. Samuel Beckett's play, first produced in Paris during 1953, has justifiably become a classic of modern theatre. Neither comedy nor tragedy, but a mixture of both -- with ample quantities of clowning thrown in for good measure -- the whole becomes a vehicle for dramatic meaning and irony. It would be easy to discount this play as a period piece of postwar angst, belonging to the vanished world of existentialism that marked so much European culture after the Second World War. Following two world wars, mass genocide, and economies geared to armed conflict, happiness may have struck contemporaries in the early 1950s as a luxurious and vacuous entity. There was, for example, an urgent debate about whether any literature, art, or drama was possible after......

...MY IDEAL SOCIETY Free will is a property of human nature that depends solely on the individual. Every individual in a free society has the ability to make any decision that impacts his or her own life. This means that any one person can use their own free will to alter or hamper the ideals possessed by another individual within the society. This notion goes against the grains of the idea of an ideal society. An ideal society would have to provide the ideal conditions for all those who lived within it. The principles and standards of the inhabitants within the society would determine these ideal conditions. If an individual within this model society could alter the life of another individual within the society, the ideals of the second individual may be broken; this consequently undermines and destroys the concept of an absolute ideal society. Thomas More’s Utopia carries the premise that everyone within the utopian society does what is necessary for the good of the society, and that one’s free will would consist of only what is beneficial to the culture. This, in itself, is limiting free will by excluding the possibility of freely doing what is not beneficial to the culture. More said, the citizens, “(do) not waste their time in idleness or self-indulgence,” but who’s to say that they cannot? Absolute free will gives each citizen the ability to do whatever they feel inclined to do, even perhaps, idle or self-indulge. In Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, the idea of free......

...1. Society Society is made up of the human relationship. It is generally considered as a group of people living together in cooperation, but, in fact society is a web of human relationship in which there is constant give and take and mutuality. When a person is born he/she begins living in the society. The people around him are the members of the society. In the first step a child becomes familiar with his mother, then with the family members and the society. So society is the place where a person in engaged from the beginning of his/her life. It is the society which plays a vital role in shaping an individual. A society is very important and essential thing for one’s living. No one can live a normal life in the absence of the society. Beside this it is an individual who makes a society complete. So there is indispensable relationship between a society and an individual. A collection of many individuals makes a society and a society influences a person in his/her growth and development. Without a society, an individual becomes a lonely person who neither can solve the problems of his life nor can live a normal satisfactory life. After a birth a person needs the help and co-operation of the society until his death. Society and an individual are closely interrelated. One becomes incomplete in absence of another. It is the society which is made up of the relationship among individuals and the individuals are incomplete in being away from the society....

...Social Roles in Society June 18, 2011 Social Roles in Society Social roles are patterns of behavior expected from people in various social positions. The concept of social role provides a way to name individuals interdependencies. The expectations that society puts on an individual, socialization is combined with changes in social behavior and organization. Psychology can help identify the components of the development of attitudes and how they change. Many psychologists subscribe to the belief that we take on, and act out certain roles because of cultures and societies (Social Roles and Expectations, n.d.). In 1971 Psychologist Philip Zimbardo along with his colleagues conducted a study that was focused on becoming a prisoner or prison guard. More than 70 applicants answered a newspaper ad and were given application and screening to eliminate people with psychological problem, medical disabilities, and a history of crime or drug abuse (Stanford Prison Experiment, n.d.). A prison environment was assembled in the basement of the Stanford University Psychology Department building. The planned two week investigation ended after only six days, due to the guards and questioning of its morality by Christina Maslach, who was a recent Stanford Ph.D. Social influence is a change in a person’s behavior conducted by the presence or actions of others (Coon & Mitterer, 2010). Stereotyping patterns can easily be identified, when referring to Zimbardo’s Prison, social......
