CURRENT SCENARIO OF INDIAN NEWS CHANNELS
Over 100 applications are pending with the information and broadcasting ministry for licence to start new TV channels. Currently, 454 Indian TV channels are on air, according to the list put up by the ministry on its website. Four months ago, the ministry had cleared 22 new TV channels.
The additional requirements could include the financial viability of channels, a more rigorous background check of the profile of operators and their commitment to the welfare of employees, ministry sources said.
The ministry has written to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) chairman J.S. Sharma on the issue of stricter criteria, and the TRAI response is awaited, the sources said.

...Constituent Assembly met for the first time in New Delhi on 9 December, 1946 in the Constitution Hall which is now known as the Central Hall of Parliament House. Decorated elegantly for the occasion, the Chamber wore a new look on that day with a constellation of bright lamps hanging from the high ceilings and also from the brackets on its walls. Overwhelmed and jubilant as they were, the hon'ble members sat in semi-circular rows facing the Presidential dias. The desks which could be warmed electrically were placed on sloping green-carpeted terraces. Those who adorned the front row were Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Acharya J.B. Kripalani, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Smt. Sarojini Naidu, Shri Hare-Krushna Mahatab, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Shri Sarat Chandra Bose, Shri C. Rajagopalachari and Shri M. Asaf Ali. Prolonging the Shelf Life of Leche Puto by Replacing Sugar with Honey

...room temperature and barely lasts for three days when refrigerated. So to solve the exportation problems, the use of preservative should be applied in processing leche puto. Preserving food has been used to store food products and make their shelf life last longer. Adding preservatives on food products is one method in prolonging the shelf life of food products. Preservatives can be either natural or artificial. An example of a natural preservative is honey. According to an episode of a food-focused animated series titled Yakitate!! Japan, Germans are storing dry fruits by soaking them in honey for a long time before consuming. In a study, it is stated that honey was used in preserving milk due to its contents’ antimicrobial properties (Krushna, Kowsalya, Radha, & Narayanan, 2007). Having anti-oxidant properties, honey was also used in salad dressing as a natural sweetener and as well as a replacement for ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), a preservative that is usually included in salad dressings (Honey Adds Health Benefits, Is Natural Preservative And Sweetener In Salad Dressings, 2008). Objective of the Study The general objective of the study is to prolong the shelf life of leche puto using honey as its both sweetener and preservative. The specific objectives are: 1. to know the effectiveness of honey in preserving leche puto; 2. to assess the measurement of sugar to honey replacement that will be most effective using fractions one is to one, one......

Appeals Under Section 96

...a preliminary decree – a decree before final decree is passed. Case laws on Appeals: Santanu Kumar v Bairagi Charan Das AIR 1995 Ori 300: The issue surrounding this case was whether the appellate court can review and reconsider the evidence that have been scrutinized by the lower court? The plaintiff’s case explained that their paternal grandmother Satchi Dasi, wife of Krushna, the common ancestor, purchased the disputed lands. The defendant contended that property was the joint family property inasmuch as this was purchased when the family members were living jointly and with a view to maintain goodwill in the family. The lower Court found that there was no sufficient nucleus out of which the property in question could have been purchased. The reasons in arriving at such a conclusion are that, the joint family had only a little more than two acres of land, there was no evidence with regard to the actual income of the family, parties were also cultivating some lands of others on Bhag and, lastly, because of insufficient and inadequate income for the maintenance of the family, Krushna was compelled to work outside for about four to five months in a year. The lower appellate Court then reversed this finding and held that the joint family had sufficient nucleus. It is a well-settled rule that a well-considered finding of a trial Court should not be reversed by an appellate Court without any valid ground. It is only when the question of probability of the......
