...in an educational environment rather than in their comfort area. Things that are obtained in a classroom like the competitiveness to beat one another, healthy interactions, difference in opinion, and just the feeling of accomplishment cannot be achieved through a computer screen. The department of education should not be funding the experimental online school. The experiment provides students to work from home with distractions, the lack of ambition, and it does not offer them with the right interactions that he or she will need. This would also be a bad idea in the sense of students cheating. Who would know if the student is actually taking the test or doing the courses by themselves or not having a the study guide and web site open in another tab on the computer during the test. The educational department should not provide funding for this experimental online school due to the fact that it 's easier for student to be distracted and procrastinate when they're at home rather than in a classroom. First, students will become more distracted because they're at home in an environment that may not be fit for a student to be taking online courses and can be doing whatever they want while they're supposed to be taking tests and doing the courses. Then, it's easier to procrastinate if there's no one to encourage them. They'll just keep putting it off thinking oh ill get it done tomorrow then tomorrow comes, and they put it off another day. ...What is online therapy? People who receive therapy vary widely in their problems and their motivations to solve them. The most obvious candidates for therapy are individuals experiencing sudden and highly stressful situations such as a divorce or unemployment, people who feel overwhelmed by the crisis conditions in which they find themselves that they cannot manage on their own. The people typically feel quite vulnerable and tend to be open to therapy because they are motivated to alter their present intolerable mental states. Some people enter therapy somewhat as a surprise to themselves. Many people entering therapy have experienced long-term psychological distress and have had lengthy histories of maladjustment. They have had interpersonal problems, such as an inability to be comfortable with intimacy, or they may have felt as though susceptible to low moods that are difficult from them to dispel. Individuals with chronic unhappiness and inability to feel confident and secure may prompt them to seek outside help. Some people who enter therapy have problems that would be considered relatively normal. That is, they appear to have achieved success, have financial stability, have generally accepting and loving families, and have accomplished many of their life goals. They enter therapy not out of personal despair or impossible interpersonal involvements, but out of a sense that they have not lived up to their own expectations and realized their own potential. There are......

...How do these articles impact your understanding, attitudes and feelings about learning in an online environment? How does this seem to fit with your most efficient and effective way of learning? What ways can you leverage the online technology and this method of learning to maximize what you take away from this program? An online learning environment is not a problem for me, in fact I spent majority of my junior and senior year off college taking online courses using the blackboard system. The system that we are currently using is a bit different for me, it’s a lot more detailed and has many more features than blackboard. For some people online learning is a breeze and others it’s a never ending obstacle . After digesting this information I feel that online classes are just as effective as traditional classes, solely because in online environments you are expected to gather various forms of data, research, and other forms of evidence to help better your understanding of the topics that are presented to you just as in a traditional classroom setting. Bring in circled part page 406 After reading these articles I gained a better understanding of networks, technologies, and various learning styles used in online environments. Online learning styles drastically differ from traditional learning. Online learning styles consist of Learner-Lerner interaction, Learner-Instructor Interaction, Learner concept Interaction, and Learner-Interface Interaction. The most effective way for......

The results show that design, speed, security, information content, and customer support service have a significant influence on customer satisfaction in the high-experience group or the low-experience group, but ease of use does not have a significant influence on customer satisfaction in either of the groups. ...Differences Between Online Retail & Traditional Retail Businesses EinkaufswagenImage via Wikipedia Often times, it is easy to overlook the differences between selling online through a shopping cart and retail selling through a brick and mortar storefront. Online retail is different from selling through a store in many ways and you should become familiar with the differences so you can better understand the many benefits of selling online compared to selling through a physical storefront. The obvious differences are the way the products are displayed to customers and the way in which they enter your store to browse around. Main Differences Between Online Retail & Physical Storefronts Display: By shopping at a brick and mortar store the customers are able to physically touch and handle items they are interested in buying. Online retailers are forced to display items using only pictures, graphics and text based product descriptions. Expense: Typically, there are major differences in the amount of funding or startup capital needed to open the store. Brick and mortar stores usually require a bigger budget since you have to lease space, rent property and pay for other location expenses. Online store owners do not usually have to worry about building leases or property expense. Online Social Network Paper

...Online Social Networking Paper Name SOC/100 Date Instructor Name Online Social Networking Paper Social websites have become a large part of everyday life for many, and none looms larger than Facebook. A social network with 1.11 billion monthly users, and 655 million daily active users ("Iamwire", 2013), Facebook, at its very basic core offers the ability to communicate with others from all over the world. What is communicated, and to whom is entirely up to the user. Some choose to update friends and family on happenings in their lives, while others take a more passive approach and use the site to simply stay in touch with loved ones. Videos, pictures, and music can be shared on Facebook, and as a result has been a key promotional tool for companies looking to sell their products. Official pages have been created for films, artists, food chains, and various other services as a way to spread word of new promotions, as well as communicate directly to consumers. Some of the team’s experiences were initially consumed by Facebook. The ability to find old friends, update others with our own happenings, and catch up with former classmates and co-workers was hard to resist. However, that rush faded and their participation went from active to passive rather quickly. One observation of the website contends with an image of astonishing happiness than to really form deep relationships. A revelation that sees little middle ground between those who share too much, and others who do......

...Argumentative essay: Online education  A stronger thesis would be, “Online classes are a better choice than traditional classroom learning because they’re more flexible for students and teachers, they're less expensive and they let student’s works at their own pace.” Do you know online education? Online education is one of the ways to learn various subjects. We can take a lecture or hand in our assignments through the Internet. Therefore, people can learn what they want to learn whenever or wherever they want. In America, some colleges adopt this education. However, this new way to educate students is not prevailed in all countries because in some countries, they have enough educational system for students. Although some countries have enough colleges or educational system, the online education should be a part of educational system in all colleges for three reasons: cost, environmental and flexibility. First, online education can give a good influence in educational cost. To be sure, some people have enough money to go to college and online education is not necessary because there are many professors who teach various kinds of subjects and we can ask directly what we want to know without paying money. However, when we think about the poor people with some problems, we can understand the thought that online education should be a part of educational system. For example in Japan, according to the research by Tokyo University, about ten thousand students retired from their......

Paper vs. Online Recruitment

...Running head: PAPER VS. ONLINE RECRUITMENT Paper vs. Online Recruitment Troy University - ETroy Human Resource Development MGT 4483 T2/11 Tracy Rockwell, MSHRM, MPA December 15, 2011 Paper vs. Online Recruitment Human Resource Development (HRD) should be proactive and future oriented; therefore, I chose this topic because of the demand to recruit potential applicants via the internet. A vast number of companies are requiring applicants to apply online; this is the only way for an individual to submit the application and/or resume. Applying online is one of the fastest ways to recruit and has proven to be a benefit to the company because it saves paper, money, time and trees (environmental friendly). With this favorable practice, applicants must know how to successfully apply for a job online. Each company has their own process; therefore, it’s important for applicants to receive information and instructions on how to meet the hiring company requirements. Meeting their hiring requirements can be the result of whether or not the person will be considered for the job. An applicant applying online has been identified as an analytic need for companies because it enhances their hiring process. These needs are generally perceived by intuition, insight, or expert consideration. The need exist on an organizational, task, and person analysis level of need. The organizational analysis suggests where in the company training is needed and under what conditions it will...
