...people can do a lot of things without going out, like paying bills, watching movies, study online and so on. Among those, the most attractive one for people is doing shopping online. Online shopping does have many advantages but everything has two sides, some people think that it also has many disadvantages. Online shopping attracts people because it has many advantages. Nowadays, more and more people, especially for the office worker, don’t have that much free time to go shopping they’re busy working, studying and doing other important things. So online shopping becomes the most convenient and best way for the office worker. Many people choose shopping online also because they can’t stand that crowded and noisy environment. For shopping online, they just need to choose the article they want and pay online, and then shopping is finished. To most people, shopping is not a hard and anguished job anymore, they can just stay at home, click the mouse, spend several minutes to get what they want without stepping out of the room or standing in line for checking. Well doing shopping online is not always a perfect thing, it also has disadvantages. It seems easy and quick, but there’s always a trap online. If you are careless, it will bring you some troubles. For example, if you order a cloth online, at the moment you get the item, you may find that the color is different from what you saw online, or the size is either too small or too big because it is not available to try on......

...1. Introduction Online shopping is a kind of business where consumers can directly shop over the Internet. It has now evolved to become a valuable part of daily lives. According to the Times Magazine, many people now preferring shopping online has increased year by year (In Shopperscrib 2011). Online shopping has become popular because people have many other things to do in their busy life, and shopping online saves time in numerous ways. Statistics produced by Forrester Research Inc. (n.d.) suggest that 60% of consumers shop online at least quarterly. EBay and Amazon are the two most popular and trusted websites for shopping online. Online shopping brings benefits to consumers so it really is a good way to shop. 2. Lower Prices Research by the firm Synovate(n.d.) found that 67% of consumers feel lower prices as the main motivator for them to shop online, with the availability of free shipping the second most important factor. In most cases, when consumers buy from traditional stores, they have to accept the price that the vendor is charging them. This is not the case when it comes to online shopping. With online purchasing, consumers can find radically lower prices and cheapest deals. For example, a DVD player may cost $20 less than the usual retail price at certain online stores. This is because online stores have fewer operating and overhead costs such as no need pay rental costs and renovation costs, which leads to creating lower prices for the consumer. Consumers...

...Online and in-store shopping differentiates in various ways. However, they both are convenient ways to shop. Recently, online shopping has been most convenient for me, but I enjoy both ways of shopping. I believe that shopping preferences change depending on a person’s situation. I noticed that many people are starting to prefer online shopping more than in-store shopping. Online shopping is most convenient for individuals that don’t have time to go to the store. If you’re busy with an online job or online classes then online shopping can sometimes be more convenient. It’s also convenient since you don’t have to drive, catch the bus, wait in a long line, or deal with not being able to find an item. All you have to do is type in the item you’re looking for and it’s there. Once you find the item, you can order it at anytime because online stores never close. Lately, I’ve been having a lot online shopping experiences. I usually buy from websites with a huge variety of sellers to be sure that I get the best price. When you’re looking for the best price, it requires research. The best price is more often found online, but not always. Online merchants will sometimes sell you an item for double the retail price. When the price isn’t doubled, it may be the same price plus shipping costs. Therefore, you still won’t have the best price. This item could possibly be on sale in retail stores. In-store shopping can be most convenient for those who are rarely at home and don’t......

...Since the world turn to the new century, electronic commerce has had a significant influence on business operations. Trading on the internet is used as a method to extend the markets. The DTI (2005) claims that it is not only the customers but also suppliers can gain the advantage from the internet shopping because it often promises “greater market penetration, increased customer response, more flexibility and lower costs.” This essay will examine the possible problems that take place from the rapid growth of online shopping, propose reasonable solutions as well as evaluate these solutions. The rise of online stores appears to be one of the key factors that generate revenue of businesses. With the arrival of online shopping, it is claimed that offline sales in Europe are set to decrease by 1.4 percent in 2015, on the contrary, online sales increase by 18.4 percent. It indicates that overall retail sales in 2015 may rise by around two percent across the continent. Observing the UK alone, offline sales are set to decrease by 1.9 percent but overall retail will increase by 3.5 percent, according to Terrelonge, Z (2015). Even though, the use of online transactions for shopping become increasingly popular in this era; the electronic commerce also has two types of risks. First is product risk, the consumers need to examine a product before purchasing. Another type of risk is security risk, there appears to be a significant risk because all of the payment transactions are......

...through analytics, will soon become irrelevant! 3. THE INTERNET and THE “SHOPPING” Time and money are precious. When we shop, we want to save as much as possible of both. However, as environmentally-aware consumers we are increasingly assessing the amount of greenhouse gases  that are emitted when we buy shoes, books or household appliances. But what is actually more damaging for the environment – online shopping or shopping locally? Around-the-clock opening hours, secure payment systems and consumer-friendly delivery times and exchange policies – online shopping makes it easy for customers with Internet access to order almost any conceivable product, ranging from tickets and music CDs to clothes and furniture, from the comfort of their own home in just a few mouse clicks. In Germany, almost two-thirds (65 per cent) of the population used the Internet for shopping in 2013. Even if this figure is just 45 percent across the whole of Europe, it's clear that online shopping has become increasingly popular in recent years. What's more, online traders extol Internet shopping as being more environmentally friendly than using conventional shops. The environmental footprint in the shopping basket At first sight, the arguments that online shopping is better for the environment are plausible. Whereas for example a clothes shop has to be air-conditioned and supplied with electricity all the year round, online customers can order their new coats from home. The goods are then......

...Online shopping has become exponentially more popular since the creation of the internet. With most of us rushing around to complete our day to day activities, being able to sit in the comfort of our homes while browsing the internet for product we need has become a dream come true. Almost every store has a website in which you can order things to be delivered to your house or delivered to a store near you for pick up. You can even order every day items like detergent, toilet paper, and diapers to be delivered at the touch of a button via the Amazon Dash Button. The future of online shopping is also showing great promises. I’ve heard of Amazon coming out with 1-hour delivery in some areas. You will be able to make a purchase online and in about an hour it will be dropped off right in your front yard by a drone. I find that incredibly exciting. With all of these features available I think it will make a substantial impact on retailers and wholesalers. It would actually be more cost efficient if businesses could operate fully online. They wouldn’t have to worry about building costs, there would be less transpiration costs, less labor costs, and it would be over all more efficient. But even with that being said I don’t think physical stores will ever be completely eliminated. They could be slightly reduced though. The reason I don’t think they will be eliminated is there are some people that don’t trust the internet or aren’t comfortable with it to make purchases. They are the......

...contrast between in store shopping and online shopping Over recent years the need for man to own and enjoy resources has increased tremendously. Due to this increase in demand manufacturers and producers have come up with different methods of making these more accessible and easier to own. In store shopping it goes back a long time, consumers are allowed to see what they want to buy and are not dependent on brand name. Online shopping on the other hand is the more modern method of goods exchange. Manufacturers now have online store where they advertise their goods to the public, consumers are able to buy these products without living the comfort of their homes. The reason why I have chosen this topic is because online and in store shopping is what is common and there are a lot of issues associated with them. In a modern society these days, as Internet technology has been developed people wants to buy their products online instead of going to in store shops to buy their products. Firms now have web pages for their company in other to advertise their products online and reduce crowds waiting in shops. What is in store shopping?
