Please Save the Poor Babies and Ourselves

...Please Save the Poor Babies and Ourselves Do you want to have a healthy body? Do you want to get away from the pressure from the unbalanced gender ratio in today’s society? Do you believe God and do you agree that every life is equal? It is certain that most of your answer is yes. But it is a shame that abortion is destroying our dream and faith. It can not be denied that abortion is acceptable for some people as it exactly provides them a few benefits but quantities of evidence have proved that abortion should be banned as it not only do great great harm to mother’s health and society but it is also immoral indeed. So, please save the poor babies and ourselves! Hundreds of studies prove that abortion can harm mothers’ health a lot as abortion is unnatural, seriously against the law of nature[1]. Some peole supporting abortion may think that if only they can tolerate the pain during the pocess of abortion, then everything will be fine. However, they may be wrong! Aborion can do worse than that. Quantities of gynaecologist have warned that abortion can lead to several problems such as an increase risk of breast cancer and barrenness. It is because when a woman is going to give birth to her baby, a surge of endocrine hormone will appear in her body, getting the mother into the preparation for the coming of her sweet heart. Please Read Chapter 10 and Answer the Following Questions:

...Please read chapter 10 and answer the following questions: 1. (Varieties of Oligopolies) do the firms in an oligopoly act independently or interdependently? Explain your answer. 2. (Price Leadership) why might a price–leadership model of oligopoly not be an effective means of collusion in an oligopoly? * Price leadership practices violate US anti-trust laws. * The more differentiated the product is, the less effective price leadership is as a means of collusion. * There is no guarantee firms will follow the leader forcing the leading firm to reduce prices. * Cheating may occur. * A new entry can destabilize the price leader's position… -If a price leader in an oligopolistic market sets price and output in order to maximize profits and if that setting is high; then this will encourage the entry of new firms into the market. And that will result in the loss of profits over the long run. 3. (Collusion and Cartels) why would each of the following induce some members of OPEC to cheat on their cartel agreement? a.   Newly joined cartel members are less–developed countries. * By producing more output than it has agreed to produce, the new member country can increase its share of the cartel's profits. b.   The number of cartel members doubles from 11 to 22. * The greater the number of firms, the more probable it is that one of those firms is a maverick firm; that is, a firm known for pursuing aggressive and independent pricing......

If Seeing Is Believing, Then Please Take a Second Look

...Tony Goodloe Eng 112 Dr. Blumenthal 8 April 2013 If Seeing is Believing, Then Please Take a Second Look! When companies want to sell their product, it is normally done with a famous person as the spoken person for that product. Have you ever wondered,” Does that person really use that product? Another way businesses or companies sell their product is by using sexual images or suggestive words for their ads. Companies might also use a controversial topic to spark up interests for that product. The way that the images of a photo is shown or the way the ads make a play on words can be very tactful or very harmful depending on the way a person views the ads. The two ads that were chosen for this paper shows how both sexual content and controversial topic are being used to sell a product. HUMO is a Belgian satire magazine that makes the basic premise that this is so compelling that an individual doesn’t notice the chaos or danger around him or her. The ad made the statement “QSOL Servers Won't Go Down On You” meaning there servers will work all the time. Advertisements can be funny and help sell a product, but ads should not be offensive to people. The HUMO ad made the statement this magazine is so compelling an individual does not notice the chaos or danger surrounding him or her. The intended audience for this ad seems to be Caucasian, white collar worker, European readers, and professional people who are avid......

Only Mature Kids Behind the Wheel, Please!

...Anelith Ortega Only mature kids behind the wheel, please! Wherever you go, everyone is talking about it. News, social media channels, supermarkets, even in the elevator. There is a discussion about the best age to put a child behind the wheel. Some people believe that age should be below 16 years old. Others think it should be higher and another group believes it should stay the same . With all the external influences the children receive through television, video games and, internet, where breaking the rule is "cool ", kids are not ready to take such a serious responsibility as it is driving a car at 14 years old. It is not right to generalize and say that children are irresponsibly and they just do what they want without any rules. But the reality is that some children behave incorrectly and may behave the same way behind the wheel. A good example is the access that children have to violent video games, despite all restrictions for sale. Many of these video games encourage the user to manage aggressively and at high speed to achieve the goal set in the game and also win. By transferring this situation in real life, any child who does not have the enough maturity, may believe that driving a vehicle in the same way that the video game, is the right way. Furthermore, although parents would pass to a more comfortable state where no longer have to take the kids to school, it is also true that the level of stress increases, for different reasons. First, although......

Buchholz’s historical approach makes this a useful bridge between your study of history over the last few years and the study of economics. Please read Chapters 1, 2, 4, 9 and 10. I’ve selected these chapters as the ones that are most in sync with the early part of the AP Econ curriculum. You will also take a test during the first week of school on the reading. Please note that a poor grade on the test will invite closer scrutiny of your written response to the study questions. You may not consult with other students, past or present, in answering these questions. Any evidence of cheating will result in a grade of zero for all parties involved. Please Stop Working so Hard

...“ “Please Stop Working So Hard!” Matt Platt is a recent university graduate, with little work experience and no previous management experience. Evan Saunders is a hard working employee who consistently goes above and beyond his job description, without being asked or compensated for it. While Matt does not want to punish Evan for being a good worker, it is causing some tension and morale issues among the shift employees. The company has developed a fragile and stressful work atmosphere causing the workers to complain. The employees have distrust, low morale and valid concerns about job safety; they are protesting that there is unequal treatment given to Saunders as they see him not following union mandated break times. Evan Saunders over enthusiastic work ethic has sparked sitewide layoffs; management is now beginning to expect the same dedication out of the other staff. They figure it takes fewer employees to do the same amount of work. The previous round of layoffs created a very tense and stressful environment among the employees. The real problem is an inefficient and misdirected leadership; Matt’s reliance on Saunders for guidance on day-to-day operations has caused an uneven distribution of objectivity.Matt is not taking control or dealing with the difficulties; he appears to be favouring Saunders above the other team members. Saunders also demonstrates inefficient leadership by missing mandatory meetings and by, not listening to his line operators. Matt must......

Please Save Starbase Cause I Love It

...a military base works. We also got to see F-15s take off, which was really cool. My favorite part of the field trip was when we dressed up in flight suits and flew planes on a flight simulator. Another favorite part of mine was when we learned all these different sayings, which are: the teacher would say, “Eyeballs class!” and we would respond, “Eyeballs sir!” We used that one a lot. And the rest were, “Science is good!” “All the time!” “Aw snap!” Aw yeah!” “ Starbase!” “Rocks!” “Starbucks!” “Is too expensive!” And my favorite “Mr. Marchan!” ” Smooth like Jackie Chan.” Please ask Congress to reverse their decision to terminate STARBASE. It would be very sad to see the staff of STARBASE have to leave. STARBASE got me more interested in learning about science. I think it was a great experience for all of us, and I think it would be great for all of the other catholic and public schools. Please take into consideration asking if Congress if we can keep the STARBASE experience alive. Sincerely, Catherine Maxwell 6th Grader...

Please Pull String for Line

...Daniella Rodriguez Film 1 Casablanca Prompt 3 9 March 2015 Please Pull String for Line As I left the room after class on Monday night, one of the girls behind me said to her friends how she though Casablanca was one of the most romantic movies she’s ever seen. I have to humbly disagree with her. Yes, it is touching how Rick puts aside his relationship with Ilsa in order to help the world, because he knows his problems are miniscule to the world. The part was great. But how can a movie that portrays women in such a bad and ridiculous light be considered romantic? All three women we actually see are nothing more than pawns in the game the men play, props to elevate the glory of the main hero and stepping stones to achieve his full mission. The first woman we meet is Yvonne. She’s obviously gorgeous, and somehow that’s all we know. Through the narrative we learn nothing more than the fact that she sleeps around, and is somehow annoying for wanting more than just sex. Because wanting something more than sex is somehow too much to handle for our lead. She is literally being passed around from man to man, who take her home for sex and then treat her like garbage the next day. There is no difference between her and a high class prostitute. Not only is she an annoying walking sex toy, she also happens to be an alcoholic. During a scene the audience sees Yvonne drinking more than she should, and who comes to the rescue Rick. After she tells him that she doesn’t want to go, we...

...INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND ON ECONOMIC GROWTH Overview and Summary The International Monetary Fund is an intergovernmental organization that oversees the global financial system by taking part in the macroeconomic policies of its established members, in particular those with an impact on exchange rates and the balance of payments. This organization has just recently downgraded its economic outlook for the United States and Europe through the end of the year. Originally, the International Monetary Fund had expected the United States to grow at around 2.5 percent to 2.7 percent. Instead, its outlook decreased this growth in 2011 to around 1.5 percent and 1.8 percent in 2012. For Europe, the International Monetary Fund lowered its projection of economic growth from 2 percent to 1.6 percent this year and 1.7 percent in 2012 to 1.1 percent. The reason for this decrease in its economic growth projections is due to events on the political plain. Over the summer, the United States congress increased its debt ceiling without effectively implementing strong policies to decrease its deficit. President Obama has proposed $3 trillion in tax increases and spending cuts over the next ten years. This proposal is going to be considered by a congressional panel which has been charged with finding at least $1.5 trillion in deficit reduction. Any proposal that has been presented to raise revenue has also been met with stiff resistance from the Republican Party. This has also impeded......
