To be competent one must possess required skill, knowledge, qualification, or capacity. The profession of nursing requires a skillset and knowledge base that is specific to its kind. Nursing is the largest health care profession in our society today with three million registered nurses nationwide (AACN, Nursing Workforce). Along with the growing profession and the ever growing need for quality health care the debate over what qualifies a nurse to be skillful and competent in her profession and what type of education is required is at the for front. Journal Paper

...2004, 36, 505–509 4 Foreign Direct Investment and Country Risk Helpman, Melitz and Yeaple (2004) suggest that a firm’s relative productivity plays a major role in the MNEs’ investment decision-making process because only more productive firms can earn enough operating profits to recoup the high sunk costs of investing in a foreign country. Yeaple (2009) further extends this insight to propose theoretically that countries with a more favorable investment environment attract a larger number of MNEs”.2 An attractive environment for FDI is the most significant reason to invest, while there is a limited entry cost and a large market to invest. “All business transactions involve some degree of risk. When business transactions occur across international borders, they carry additional risks not present in domestic transactions. These additional risks, called country risks, typically include risks arising from a variety of national differences in economic structures, policies, socio-political institutions, geography, and currencies.”3 Moreover, we have to consider host country’s risk in investment decision-making. Country risk is associated with the risk of business as a hostile environment deters investment. It is unlikely that the investor or the home country of FDI is going to invest in a country with weak and risky institutions, with government instability, inefficient bureaucracy, high levels of corruption and insecure property rights; and also economic and financial......

Considering children and adolescence are our future, parents need to consider and monitor how these electronic games are affecting their child. There are more studies afloat that report the negative affects of video games over the positive effects until recently. Children and adolescents become addicted to video games easily so it is important to monitor what they are playing and how it is affecting them and their character. A recent study on many boys and girls reported why they are entertained by these games and how it affects them as a whole. Many children and teens in today’s generation have a favorite pastime of playing video games. It is easy for any parent to not like these video games and to blame their child’s bad behavior on them playing these games. According to the article, Children’s Motivations for Video Game Play in the Context of Normal Development, boys and girls enjoy playing video games for many different reasons. Regardless of the negative effects some have found video games to create, there are many positive effects that go unrecognized. “For some video game skill seemed important to their self-esteem, especially if they had less success in other areas such as academics or sports” (Olsen, 2010). ...attention to this problem that we are facing. As I see it only positive outcomes could come from this article. The only that I can tell is that the government will be more aware of the unemployment growth and take action. It is clear that since President Obama has come in to office he has done increased our economy by supplying more jobs for the citizens. Coming to the end of his term it is clear that our economy is starting to go back down so I hope that this article helps bring to his attention what is going on in the country that he is in charge of. They believe the winter climate is to blame for the unemployment rate increase last week. The total of unemployment claims at the end of the week of Feb. 28th was 320,000. The wall Street Journal had expected 290,000. Thursday reported stated that the number of claims filed continued to rise and had increased by 17,000 to 2.42 million for the week ended in Feb. 21st. Job claims have been at a continuous increase over the past month from the lowest level since the last economic expansion. A total of 240,000 jobs were added in the month of February by employers. In the summer of 2014claims were below 300,000 and remained at that state for the rest of that year. There was an average of 336,000 jobs added by economy a month since November of 2014. Which is the largest increase of jobs since 1997. In every state that year unemployment fell in the nation’s capital. This is something that has not happened in 30 years, according to a......
