1. What was Howard Schultz’s original strategic vision for Starbucks? Was his 2010 strategic vision for Starbucks different from the one he had in the 1980s? How many times has his strategic vision changed? Is his present strategic vision likely to undergo further evolution?
• Howard’s strategic vision was to allow Starbucks to become a company with strong values and guiding principles that its employees would be proud of.
• The strategic vision never changed fully, it just adapted to the business changes that took place.
• Shultz idea in allowing employees to be a strategic part of the company will continue as main priority while adding changes to meet company goals and it will be considerable that the strategic mission will continue to grow as new strategies will have to go in place to sustain the business for times to come.
2. Has Starbuck’s strategy evolved as the strategic vision has evolved?
• Any business that is not willing to grow with its customers is going to fail. Starbucks has learned to evolve with its customer’s wants overtime.

4. What are the key policies, practices, business principles, and procedures that underlie how Howard Schultz and Starbucks’ management have implemented and executed the company’s strategy?
• One of Starbucks main goals was expansion. One thing that helped them become successful was the foresight of Shultz. By hiring executives who were had a strong knowledge on what was currently needed and by building more production facilities that were far larger than was necessary at the time, the need to worry about not being able to handle a quicker expansion of their stores was compensated for.
