Food Log

...Food log reflection paper This assignment changed my eating habits a little bit. There were times I noticed the food I was eating was not as healthy as it should have been. The logging of the food was kind of in the middle as far as difficulty. The hardest part was finding all the information such as fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Also I would forget over the weekends to log in what I ate and would have to backtrack the meals. I would not make my Marines keep a food log but I would definitely suggest trying it for two weeks like we did. It will give them the chance to find out some eating habits that are not as healthy as they thought they were eating. I think the Marine Corps tries to promote healthy eating but due to the tempo we were in because of the war some things were higher priorities. The chow hall sometimes does not always promote the healthiest of food and by having a meal card it gets expensive trying to buy food. I noticed that days before PT I would eat healthier than days I did not have PT. I think it changed because mentally I would think I could do better on PT and not have as hard of a time. My nutrition habits on the weekends changed for the worst. I would not go to the chow hall and I would just eat at all the fast food places on base or off base. My overall assessment of the assignment of the food log is that I did eat unhealthy at times but I ate more healthy food than unhealthy. I gained a lot of knowledge as far as there are different tools out......

As such it is a document which is unique to you and cannot be ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, although there are ‘better’ and ‘worse’ ways of producing one. A learning log helps you to record, structure, think about and reflect upon, plan, develop and evidence your own learning. Access Control, Time Log, and Billing Application

...Access Control, Time Log, and Billing Application Executive Summary The need to maximize the economic performance in business organizations remains a key objective for many companies. Since firms lack an effective way to monitor the activities of the workforce, most of the business organizations needs to acquire access control systems, time log, and the billing application. The system assists companies in determining the productivity of the enterprise. Development of well-functioning application that would suit the needs of the ultimate users is often a challenge to the IT engineers. The main issue with the incomplete application is caused by inadequate communication between the developer and the program developers. There have been many research reports that suggest the appropriate procedures in the development of programs to avoid development of uncompetitive programs. Another issue with the development of faulty programs includes failures of the sponsors to provide the adequate requirements for the application. A research on this matter indicates that many firms continue experiencing reduced quality systems. Some organizations spend enormous amount of finances in hope to acquire adequate systems that would satisfy their intended needs. It is unfortunate that some of the developed systems end failing to deliver as expected by the sponsors. Such issues emerge from inadequate communication between the users and developers. In some cases, they might manifest after......

...Template . Determine what kind of paper you are writing: * An analytical paper breaks down an issue or an idea into its component parts, evaluates the issue or idea, and presents this breakdown and evaluation to the audience. * An expository (explanatory) paper explains something to the audience. * An argumentative paper makes a claim about a topic and justifies this claim with specific evidence. The claim could be an opinion, a policy proposal, an evaluation, a cause-and-effect statement, or an interpretation. The goal of the argumentative paper is to convince the audience that the claim is true based on the evidence provided. If you are writing a text that does not fall under these three categories (e.g., a narrative), a thesis statement somewhere in the first paragraph could still be helpful to your reader. 2. Your thesis statement should be specific—it should cover only what you will discuss in your paper and should be supported with specific evidence. 3. The thesis statement usually appears at the end of the first paragraph of a paper. 4. Your topic may change as you write, so you may need to revise your thesis statement to reflect exactly what you have discussed in the paper. Thesis Statement Examples Example of an analytical thesis statement: An analysis of the college admission process reveals one challenge facing counselors: accepting students with high test scores or students with strong extracurricular backgrounds. The paper that follows......

Beaver Log

...willows, maples, poplars, beeches, birches, alders, and aspens. Mr. Kaiser’s beaver log was hallowed out like a cylinder with pointed ends. This log was accidently placed on the bomb fire and burned which caused physical and chemical reactions and changes. Let’s talk about some of the physical and chemical properties. Physical properties can be observed or measured without changing the composition of the matter. The beaver’s log had the following physical properties. It was shaped like a cylinder with pointed ends, brown and rough. The beaver ate the bark and the soft tissue in order to receive nourishment. Chemical properties of matter describe its “potential” to undergo some chemical change or reaction by virtue of its composition. As the beaver log burns, it goes through three phases. The first phase is the evaporation of water. As the wood is heated moisture evaporates quickly consuming heat energy in the process. The second phase is the emission of smoke. As the wood heats up, it starts to smoke. The smoke is the visible result of the destruction of the solid wood as it vaporizes into a cloud of combustible gases. The smoke will burn if the temperature is high enough and oxygen is present. The third and final phase is the charcoal phase. As the fire grows and most of the gasses have vaporized out of the wood, charcoal remains. All three phases of wood burning occur at the same time. The wood gases can be flaming and the edges of the pieces can be......

...inventory, contacts, supplies, and many more. Mobility is also a need for some of the employees that travel for the company. With installing a network, the mobility issue will be resolved. The Bead Bar already has a few computers, but are still using the old pen and paper to keep up with inventory, sales reports, and other information. Vital information from the headquarters, franchise offices and studios could benefit from a network to share the information. Since Mitch travels and is not in the office as much as the other employees are, the use of a laptop or handheld computer would benefit him tremendously. He would be able to keep better track of the inventory, contacts, and sales leads. Julia would like to telecommute so she can spend more time with her new baby. With the use of a network, this would be possible for her without a downfall on the company. I would recommend The Bead Bar implementing a star topology network. Using the star topology will allow the company to upgrade and add new franchise offices to the network more easily. With the use of the other topologies such as the bus topology and the ring topology, the upgrading and adding other computers to the network would be difficult and expensive. The star topology network will also allow problems to be diagnosed easily. A wide area network (WAN) should be used to allow for the connection from different locations around the world. Each computer on the WAN will have access the headquarters and will be able......
