Write a 150- to 200-word e-mail to your friend summarizing the resources available to students. Debi- I started my classes this week at University of Phoenix and I love it! I had no idea how many resources were available. They have a University Library that I think has more resources than the library down the street! And they have the Center for Math Excellence (you know how terrible I am at math!!) it’s so easy to use! I have to admit I was really nervous about online classes I wasn’t sure if they would work for me but now after seeing all they have for me to use I think it’s going to be great! They also have the Center for Writing Excellence as well, I know that was one of your biggest problems when you tried to go back to school before all the papers you had to write. I really hope you think about going back to school, I know you could do it and with all of the help they have right there at your fingertips I just know you would do great!  You asked your facilitator to review your e-mail draft. She liked what you wrote and asked you to write a summary to post in the class forum for the other students to read. One of the coolest features is called WritePoint. Consider WritePoint your own personal proofreader. After you’re done writing a paper, submit it to WritePoint and it will insert comments to let you know what might need to be fixed or might suggest something that could sounds better. Another great tool is the Riverpoint Writer. I anticipate this tool will help me a lot on my research papers. What it does is takes information from your references and will turn it into an actual citation. I think it’s pretty neat. Anyways, let me know if you have any questions. ...University of Phoenix Material Reading Comprehension Worksheet Respond to the following in 50 to 100 words each: Describe your outcome from this week’s MyFoundationsLab® assignment. I was a little anxious when it came time to do MyFoundationsLab assignment. Anytime I have to complete an assignment that involves watching videos I get really nervous. My attention span isn’t that long and if the videos are really “cheesy” I won’t want to watch the videos. My outcome from this week’s MyFoundationsLab assignment grade was a 90. I did better then I thought I would do. For the reading and comprehension strategies that they discussed I already do them when I read. I think that’s why I scored really good on the test that was given. Identify the skills you’ve learned this week. How could each of these apply to your academic work? How could each of these apply to your professional work? With the skills I learned this week I can apply them to my academic work by using them. When it comes to reading I really suck at it. It’s hard for me to concentrate no matter the strategies I try. My mind starts to wander instead of concentrating on what I’m reading. The way I can improve this is by making sure I give myself enough time to read and making sure I have all my supplies I will need when reading so I don’t have to stop. I will also try to clear my mind of clutter so that I can concentrate and focus. Describe the reading and comprehension strategies you......

...Associate Level Material Appendix G Ethical Actions Worksheet Was there anything in either the University Of Phoenix Student Code Of Conduct or the Student Code of Academic Integrity that surprised you? If so, what was it? Why were you surprised? If not, why not? * * There wasn’t anything in either handbook that took me by surprise. From the readings this is every day practices if you are a person with any kind of ethics, morals or values. You should take pride in yourself, and your school. In everyday life we all have rules and regulations that one must follow; I don’t see the student code of conduct materials any different from any other rule that needs to be followed. Over time, ethical leadership shapes a culture that governs itself according to shared values. These codes of conduct, academic integrities, and rules must be in place for community structure. Without these rules in place there would be no order on or off school campus. We are all adults and must act as such we should not need anyone to tell us how we should or should not act. * * * What did you learn about the behaviors considered important for an ethical learner or student in the University of Phoenix learning community? * Sensibility is a very important behavior for a student at the University of Phoenix.
