Secondly, a number of students graduate from colleges each year in our country. So, there are not enough job positions for all college graduates. Therefore, many students have to find others jobs which are not suitable with their majors.

Finally, I think one of the most important reasons why getting a rewarding job is more and more difficult for young people is that the wrong thinking about the success of high school students. Most of them believe that entering collesges is the only way to have a good job with high salary. This is not true totally. We aslo can go to the vocational schools to be trained about a job which we want to learn.

To sum up, if we want to get a rewarding job, we have to choose a suitable major with the job we like to learn. In addition, we should improve our soft skill for the future work as well as for our…...

Why Colleges Should Get Paid

...SPM 210 Why should College Athletes Get Paid? By Calvin Mainor E013280 11/20/2013   Under current NCAA regulations, "all student athletes are prohibited from receiving any payment for their efforts". Exploited athletes generate millions of dollars for their schools, and never see a dime. Is this fair? The universities, coaches, boosters, scouts for recruiting purpose are all getting paid off the players. But the major reasons why the stadiums and arenas are filled up are because of the players but they don’t see a penny of the money. Some universities build academic buildings on campus with the money that the players make for the school. Some coaches even get a percentage of the tickets revenue from the home games the players get nothing. The school pays coaches millions of dollars to coach the player who do the work. The college athletes are slaves to the schools and the coaches. The coaches treat the players as workhorses; the student-athletes can’t even choose their own major sometimes. The student-athletes can’t have a job so where are they supposed to get money from. People say that student-athletes get four-year scholarship, or a free education, but that is not true. Student-athletes only get a year to year scholarship which they can be dropped from the scholarship for a number of reasons. The idea of college athletes being slaves have to get settled for the greater good of athletes and institutions graduation rates. College sports are big......

Are they learning access a program that does the work for them or are they learning the basics of how to do the work themselves? Are the policy changes taking the personal touch out of teaching, by introducing computers in every classroom and reducing face time with teachers? Finally, does government involvement for fiscal aid influence how public schools mandate what the teachers use in the classroom? Why College Education Is Important to Me

...2014 Why College Education Is Important To Me Growing up I did not see a college education in my future due to its price tag. As my parents brought home just enough money every week to get by, I decided during the 11th grade in high school that I would rather work and make money than stay in school. I left school, received my G.E.D. a year later, all while working a full time job at the neighborhood pizzeria. A few years had passed, I landed a better job in an office setting as a typist. After working there for a little over 5 years, I realized this is not what I want to do for the rest of my life. Being a typist was something I was good at; however, I yearned for something bigger and better. I tried several times to find another job, but there seemed to be one obstacle in my way, these better jobs required more than a G.E.D. or High School Diploma, they required a college degree. After several turn downs, careful thought, and consideration, I decided it was time for me to give this whole college thing a try. By this time I am now 26 years old with a 2 year old son, how am I possibly going to go to school and have time to study while being a stay-at-home mother? That’s when I started researching what opportunities were out there for me besides the standard college education. This is where I discovered “Distance Learning” with Ashworth College. Here I am a little over a decade later going for my college education. During the last 11 years, I have learned that a college......

Why Do You Get Goosebumps

...Ever wonder why you get goose bumps? Do they serve a purpose? Why do they develop when we are cold? Cutis anserine is one of the medical terms for Goosebumps (cutis means skin and anserine means goose). The term describes a change in the skin from smooth to bumpy which usually occurs after exposure to the cold. Most animals regulate their body temperature at a particular level. For humans it is 37°C. If the temperature is too high the body will apply different mechanisms to decrease its temperature. E.g. sweating and dilation of blood vessels. If the temperature is to low the body will counteract to increase the temperature. E.g. shivering, constriction of blood vessels and goose bumps. This is a negative feedback system which allows us to maintain homeostasis. Homeostasis is the process of keeping a constant internal condition. How do we keep things the same? To keep our body at a constant temperature we need three things: receptors, a processing centre and effectors. Thermoreceptors in the skin detect changes in external temperature.
